Hello my name is Andronique Jackson, a believer in Christ, a
wife, a mother of 3, a Leader at Motivation Church, a Director
of a Co-Ocurring Enhanced Program and Founder of Becoming. My
educational background is in Counseling Psychology where I
have a Master's of Education (M.Ed.). Within the past 13
years, I've worked as an Outpatient Therapist, Family
Therapist, Community Liaison and Program Director through
agency contracts under the Department of Mental Health,
Department of Developmental services, The Bureau of Substance
Abuse Services and The Department of Public Health for the
Traumatic Brain Injury Unit.
Although I hold many leadership roles I didn't always "feel"
or "consider" myself as a leader. I would've never thought I
would be part of the leadership of a growing church ministry,
lead a program focusing on the personal and clinical needs of
others, let alone be a Co-Founder of an independent business.
One thing for sure, I knew in my heart I wanted to help people
as a coach and have always functioned in that way, but never
thought of it on an organizational scale.
But it was through my "becoming" that I learned more of what
it takes to be a leader. It was through the struggles and
loneliness that come with being a leader where I developed the
passion to create a program that will support leaders working
in nonprofits who are dealing with similar issues and to help
them get past the frustrations and grow in their professional
and personal lives. But I couldn't do this on my own! It was
from meeting with my business partner Robin McCatty 10 years
ago that changed everything. We were like-minded individuals
just trying to figure out how to be "better humans", as she
would say, and become who we knew we were. It was from our
growing connection, understanding of differences and
perspectives that we birthed Becoming. Now we want to share
what we've learned with you!
